should I postpone??

Hi Everyone, I took the GMAT a couple months ago and the day before the test I got ill. needless to say my score on test day wasnot good, low 500's.

I am scheduled to take the test again in a couple weeks. I am currently scoring in the Mid 500's but would like to hit the around the mid 600's.

My question is should I take the exam as planned ot rescheule to give my self more time?

Hi there,

It certainly is common for people to score in mid 500's towards the end of the their prep and get to the 600 mark on test day, but it is a very personal decision as to whether you'd be best to postpone or go for it. You might feel a bit more confident if you were to get in the 570-ish range for example. The answer really depends upon what you think the extra time would do for you. If you have clear ideas of what additional prep you would do in that extra time, and ensure it is benefiting you, then that may be a good option (if you are not up against deadlines). But if you end up just postponing and not really improving during that extra time, or even start to get burnt out at all, it would not be worth it.
