I am in the financial services industry....Operations for the past three years. I recently got a GMAT score of 720 my GPA was a 2.9 can round to 3.0. I have completed all levels of the CFA and CPA exams. what are my chances for Columbia or Chicago Business schools? I have various community work and have held leadership positions throughout my under grad through fraternity and other organizations. I am also 28 and held several internships within financial services when in under grad. Thank you for you insights

Dear GMATDOOMSDAY,

I think you should apply to Columbia and Chicago, but I also think you should apply to a couple schools outside the top 10 that are a good match for you. Competition in the second/third/fourth rounds will be fierce, especially for those with financial services experience. There are some great schools in the 10-30 range that you should consider and I encourage you to visit our sticky on school selection for some tips and insights.

Best of luck,
Lisa
