Good GMAT, Little work experience....need help!

I was very curious about my admissions chances. I will be graduating in May 2009 from a good(not ivy) university. I have good academics (good gpa w/ a double major in finance and economics) and extra curriculars. Because of the current economy, I would like to go straight and get my MBA. I am unsure of how much my lack of work experience will hurt me...

I have a 4 month internship at Smith Barney, as well as working as a hedge fund analyst for the last 10 months (summer full time, sept-now part time)....toal of 14 months internship experience

What are my chances in getting in these schools?.....my GMAT is 660

(school average, 25%-75% range)

Dear parks4873,

Based on your GMAT, you are competitive for all of the schools listed by GMAT numbers. However, decisions are made on more than a GMAT score. Since you will be applying with no professional work experience, then you will need to make an effective case for going straight to business school. It is not enough to say the economy is bad--you must demonstrate it is the right path for you and that you are mature enough to handle the rigors of the program. Finally, your essays, recommendations and interview must be strong and support your rationale for why you want a MBA and why now.
