Last Date of giving GMAT for Admission in 2009

can anyone tell me what is the last date of giving GMAT Score for getting in B-School in 2009

Hi,
There is no last date as such for applying GMAT. It is conducted throughout the year. You have to visit the websites or get in touch with the admissions team of the particular schools you are planning to apply to. Normally GMAT scores are valid for 5 years, but many reputed B schools of India have a one year to two year deadline. Like I said above please visit the schools websites.

I have the same question,
I need to know till when should i have taken my test in order to apply for most B-Schools specifically UK B-Schools.

My rough idea is Late March after seeing a no. of UK schools last round admission deadlines.

Any more ideas ?

See like I said you can only get to know the answer by visting the websites. But just remember one thing, lets say the application last date of submission is 25th Feb 09. Try and appear GMAT nearly 5-10 days before. This is done because GMAT team takes around 2-3 weeks to ensure that ur official score reaches the B-Schools you have choosen just before the test.

Ideally what one should do is, study hard and appear GMAT 2-3 months before the application deadline and concentrate on application forms of various schools, write and review throughly essays...........Most people do this since one should remember that application forms are equal infact more important than just GMAT scores.....

I agree with Chitts in the ideal way to approach the GMAT, as well as the fact that you should check with each school for their deadline, and it'd be great to take the exam prior to that.

However I just want to add that, if you get in a time-pinch, many schools actually say that you just need to take the exam BY THEIR DEADLINE, because you can self-report your score and they'll verify it when they get it later, and results are sent electronically to the schools anyway. So it might be worth either reading the fine print on the application instructions and/or checking with a school's admissions department if you are looking at taking the test at the very last minute.
