Hi Stacy,

I am Rodrigo from Argentina and I've been living in the US for the last 2 years.
I am planning to attend to Rice or UT, part time MBA programs here in Houston.
I write you because I would like to get your advise regarding the GMAT:

1) 590 (Q: 38, V: 32)
2) 6 Years experience (1 year working in Argentina, 3 years in Montevideo and 2 years in USA). While I was working in Montevideo, I was assigned to two short term assigments (one in Canada for 4 months and another one for 2 months here in the US) as Project Manager
3) GPA: According to the translation, it's 3.5

I would like to know your opinion whether should I take my gmat again.
thanks,
Rodrigo.

Dear Rodrigo,

I think you are a competitive candidate for the part-time programs, even though your GMAT is below the average. If you feel you can increase your score, then I do think you should take the test again. You have a good GPA and some interesting work experience that will work to your advantage. If you present a strong application with a solid rationale for getting your MBA, then I think you do have a chance at a 590, but a higher score would increase your chances.

Best of luck,
Lisa
