Given x,y>1
x= my

ST 1

3y^2+7y = x
===> y(3y+7) = x
x = my wherein m = 3y+7
Therefore sufficient


St 2
x^2-x=ny
x(x-1) = ny

x=5 Therefore LS = 5*4=20
Therefore ny = 20 and values could be as follows
y n
2 10
4 5
5 4
10 2
20 1

All do not satisfy x= my therefore not sufficient

IMO - Ans A
