Where does Isenberg (U Mass Amherst) rank?

Hi,

This program appears cheap. How does it rank (tier 2, 3, or 4) , b/c it seems like it is the U Mass system's flagship school. Could someone tell me how it also ranks compared to Boston Area programs (minus MIT, Harvard of course).

Dear pufftissue,

UMass is a regional school without much of a reputation outside the northeast. From my perspective, it does not have as strong a reputation or recognition as Boston College, Boston University or Northeastern. But you should not pick a program based on things like rankings, you should pick a program that provides the education and resources you seek in a business school. There are many great regional schools out there that have a good reputation in their area but are not known much outside of their area. Thus I think if you want to be in Boston, then it is probably a fine choice, assuming it provides what you seek in a program.
