tense?

8. A huge flying reptile that died out with the dinosaurs some 65 million years ago, the Quetzalcoatlus had a wingspan of 36 feet, believed to be the largest flying creature the world has ever seen.
(A) believed to be
(B) and that is believed to be
(C) and it is believed to have been
(D) which was, it is believed,
(E) which is believed to be

I know what C is correct. Just want to make sure that the reason to this answer is because its in the present prefect tense.

A, D and E are incorrect because they are close to FEET but the largest flying thing is the reprile so we need AND

Between b and C

THAT does not refer to anything

So you are left with C

and yes EVER SEEN calls for present perfect tense.
