Hi Lisa,

Currently, I am working on the essays. Wanted to know your input on the below.

Is it ok to construct leadership essay on a matter not related to work? Is it better to build it on work related episode? Or is it possible to quote two instances?

thanks!

Dear AJ,

Unless the general essay instructions or the essay question specifies it be from your work experience, then it is your discretion on where to draw the example from in your background. It is best to go with your strongest example, ideally from the past 3 years, in answering questions. Whether or not to use more than one example is a personal call. Once again, follow the essay instructions, but if the question is open to interpretation and you believe you have the space to talk about more than one, then you might write it with two examples and see how it reads.

Good luck,
Lisa
