- GMAT Score:750
Just a note to say thanks to everyone here. For those who still have to take the test, all the best.
My 2 cents:
- The Quant section is ridiculous at times. I had at least 10 questions where it took more than 2 minutes just to read the question completely ( 5 lines of verbiage..come on !!). IMHO, someone at GMAT HQ needs to rethink this whole business.
- In the verbal section, I saw a question straight out of the OG - verbatim.
Prep method:
Studied for ~ 45 mins every day for ~ 2 months. Used the OG and MGMAT. Gave the 2 prep tests (710, 760). I have given the GMAT previously (2004 - score 700), so I kinda-sorta know my way around. I'm also a Quant at a Quant-based startup.
The Oakland, CA center is very nice - the neighborhood is a little dicey, but the staff is superb.
Advice: Read all the GMAT instructions BEFORE you take the test. A schlub canceled his score and then went arguing with the staff - he thought he was merely canceling the B-school report.
Wear layered clothing - the centers can get pretty cold. And take some food and drink (caffeinated).
Cheers and all the best
