700 gmat
3.5 gpa with a year abroad
post grad certificate in finance
canadian license similar to the series 7 (the canadian securities course)
a little volunteer exp, some good achievements
female

NOW the schools:
NYU, Chicago, Cornell, and Wharton

Canada:
Rotman, Ivey, and Maybe schulich

downfall:
only a year experience at a financial company - THIS upcoming year would be my second year

what are my chances? any recommendations for schools?
i want to go into strategic consulting and management

I am not sure about the Canadian schools' requirements on work experience. For the US schools on your list, you would have a chance at all of them, but the likelihood of acceptance would improve with another year of work experience. IN terms of additional schools, consider CMU Tepper and Duke. If you apply next year also consider Tuck, Darden, Haas, and Michigan.

Best,
Linda
