T - 3 days! Please Advise

by MBA090723 » Tue Dec 16, 2008 9:56 am
Hey guys,

I'm taking the GMAT this Friday, December 19th. So far, I've taken 7 practice CAT's:
PCAT 1: 540
MGMAT 1: 640
MGMAT 2: 680
MGMAT 3: 590 (week I had a stomach virus)
MGMAT 4: 660
MGMAT 5: 720
GMATPrep1: 660

I've been scoring pretty consistently on Math - 41, 42, 44, 44 (haven't reached above 44), but my verbal has varied a lot - 36, 38, 38, 44, 41, 38

I'd like some advice for my last 2 days of studying. I took my GMATPrep 1 test on Sunday, and I plan on taking GMATPrep #2 tonight. My weak areas are SC, CR and VIC's. I've been working on those pretty consistently, but I'm planning on hitting them hard tomorrow night after I go over tonight's mistakes.

Any thoughts?

Verbal 44 in MGMAT is appreciable...

I think if you could go through nice maths problems or stuart's posts, that would add few points to your maths score.

you would score magical score easily if you can excel a bit at Maths

If its a huge task, just revise what you studied so far and review your previous mistakes

do not worry too much about scores you get in the last week

All the best and looking fwd to a nice debrief

Thanks for the reply - I do think that I can improve my quant, especially on timing, but not sure if I can improve that much to make a difference in 3 days. I have a major problem with cutting my losses on problems that I can't figure out in time. Like the scene in TinCup when Costner keeps hitting the balls into the pond because he won't give up on making it to the green... Not good.
Do you think its a good idea to take one last practice test tonight with the AWA's?
