This is another remaider question from Princeton GMAT Math I don't know
how to solve it.
Can any body help me?




2. Tony has a box of apples. How many apples are in the box?

a. If he gave the apples to 7 friends equally, there are 3 apples left
b. If he gave the apples to 4 friends equally, there are 2 apples left

A = 7x+3 Insuf
A = 4Y+2 Insuf

7X+3=4Y+2

4Y-7X=1

(x,y) = (1,2) or ( 5,9) and etc...will satisfy this equation. Hence E

From statement a and b we have the relation of the form
28N + 10 will satisfy both the conditions where N is a whole number. So we can't get the unique answer.
Hence option E is the correct answer

+ve Approach, +ve Attitude will give +ve result.
