If not stated, assume compound interest?

If not stated, assume compound interest?

If a question does not directly state simple or compound, should I assume compound? Will questions on the GMAT always state what type of interest is required?

If not stated, then you assume Simple Interest. Questions will state the type of interest so you dont really have to worry.
