i know this question has been answered but the original post is messy and i have a specific question, so ill be quick.

if 4< (7-x)/3, which of the following must be true?
1. 5 < x
2. |x+3|>2
3.-(x+5) is positive

A. 2 only
B. 3 only
C. 1 and 2 only
D. 3 and 2 only
E. 1 , 2 and 3 only


the original statement = x<-5

i know that (1) is clearly not true.
(3) -(x+5) --> -x-5 .... since x is less than -5**** -(-6)-5 **** therefore 3 is must true as well

(2) = x>-1 or x<-5 so ** -1< x OR x<-5
how is this a must true?

AND this IS a must true!!!

What is the source for this qn?

I dont think this qn is correct as it mentions nothing about x being an integer or not.
Pt. 3 can be wrong if x=-4.5, which clearly does not violate the original form.
