Hey all,

Couldn't figure this one out. Would appreciate a brief explanation. Thanks!

5) If it took Carlos 1/2hr from home to library, is distance greater than 6 miles? (1mile = 5280 feet)

a. Average speed was greater than 16 feet/second
b. Average speed was less than 18 feet/second

6*5280 = 31680 feet

31680 / 30 mins = 1560 f/min i.e 26 f/s

a. Average speed was greater than 16 feet/second........ yes and no
b. Average speed was less than 18 feet/second......clear 'no'

ans : b

Thanks for the explanation. you miscalculated a few things. it should come out to 17.6 feet/sec, so the answer is E.
