Which day does the date fall?

I have tried to solve this problem and though i am convinced with my answer the OA given is a different one..

can anyone help me solve the dilemma

June 25, 1982, fell on a Friday. On which day of the week did June 25, 1987, fall? (Note:
1984 was a leap year.)
A. Sunday
B. Monday
C. Tuesday
D. Wednesday
E. Thursday

Hi,

Considering that each year is composed by 365 days. this is equivalent to 52 full weeks plus 1 day. thus, each "normal" year the 25 june will be the day after the one the year before (friday in 1982, saturday in 1983...).

You just have to be careful with the leap year where you need to add "+2" days in stead of "+1" on a normal year because there are 366 days in those years...

So the answer is:
1982 : friday
1983: saturday
1984: monday
1985: tuesay
1986: wednesday
1987: thursday

So answer E

My answer is E. Thursday

1982 is a Friday:
83 Sat
84 Mon (because of leap year)
85 Tue
86 Wed
87 Thu
