Answer choice A: to SUCH a large degree AS to make it difficult to absorb them
The purpose of such as is to provide EXAMPLES.
Correct: such tasty desserts as chocolate cake and blueberry pie
In A, no examples are being provided, so the use of such as is inappropriate.
