I understand all of it - but i do not understand where and why are are using "x-1"
perhaps, i'm reading into it a bit too much?
I understand that all the numbers between 1 and x (inclusive?) must be factors of x
therefore, 3 (or any number higher than 3) would not work (ex: 2 is not a factor of 3)...
I understand that say x = 2 (which is does)
2-1 = true statement.
2-1 = 1 (which is a factor of three)
- - - - does the x-1 - show that say x=3
3-1 = 2 and 2 is not a factor of x?
