Which of the following is correct?

Ram, along with I, went to see the match

Ram, along with me, went to see the match


Here the person I is used with a subject but it is preceded by a preposition, and thus which form is correct?

as the object of preposition... the correct one is Ram, along with me, went to see the match

There are only two instances when object pronoun is used
Object of verb and object of preposition


1. he loves her
2. he is crazy after her

there are no other instances in english where object pronoun is used

Exception
correct - it is I
incorrect - it is me

what follows the verb to be is the complement and not the object form
