My school is offering a GMAT prep course (8 sessions 24 hrs for $769) sounds like a good deal but I dont know how good the instructor is. I looked her up on the internet but I can't find any info on her. Do you think I should still try the prep course?? I go to UGA, if that helps...

Only you can make that judgement call.

My school offered one for the first time ever for $500 (Canadian) which is quite a low price, but it was the first time the instruction was teaching a course of that nature so I don't think it represented good value.

I would go ahead and seek the credentials of the instructor and maybe speak with her about your expectations of the course, and decide from there.
