I heard that the 12th edition of the Official Guide for GMAT will be released sometime in March 2009. Anyone has more information or experience on whether it would be worthwhile to wait for this version to come out ?

I got a chance to glance at the book today. At first glance, I can say it has different set of questions when compared to OG11.

Is it very important to prepare with OG12 if i have my gmat app. on the 29th of march? Or is OG11 good enough?

How well are you scoring in your practice tests MGMAT, POWERPREP? I doubt it will make a difference.

Also, if you were to order the book you need to wait 3 -5 business days (if it is shipped via fedex next day - I suppose you can get it the next day). This leaves you a good 13 days to go over the problems.

Why don't you go to a Barnes and Noble and check if the book is any different than OG11? If they have significant amount of problems that are different to OG11. Just my .02 cts. Then again, I am yet to do my exam so please take my advice lightly. Perhaps others with more experience could advice better.

I picked up the book from local barnes and noble last Sunday.

The book has very good SCs those are good for preparation for few days before exam.

Secondly, there are 4-5 bold face CRs. Also, lot of new questions in CRs.

RC does not seem to be different.

DS has few new questions. PS does not have much difference.

There is no change in Diagnostic test or any other chapters in book.

Overall, good buy for those who are looking for new questions in Verbal.

Secondly, some of new questions in OG 12 are already posted in Testmagic Forum in early 2005. I don't know how come Testmagic forum has these questions from OG12. FBI might know.

Can I get this book in India? Anytime soon? By soon I mean by March end. I heard that they were planning on releasing this book "officially" on the 30th of March.

How did you guys get this book before the official release date?

Santosh, where do you live? In India?
