Reducing duplicate questions

by MBACrystalBall » Fri Jul 12, 2013 5:34 am
The big challenge on a growing forum like BTG is to reduce (if not eliminate) duplicates.

Some of the original posts have excellent and elaborate answers by the GMAT experts. Most of them get hidden under the avalanche of new posts.

The basic quant and verbal concepts tested on the GMAT haven't really changed over the years, but the number of times these have been covered here has.

The simplest solution is for new members to use the search feature to identify if the problem has been posted earlier.

The issue of identifying problem variations (slightly different wording + different numbers) is tougher to tackle. But hopefully some basic research before posting will help in controlling the redundant threads.

Any other non-obvious (manual or technical) ideas to reduce the number of duplicates?
