GMAT Study Group Strategy Help?!

by stever567 » Tue Feb 14, 2012 10:18 am
A group of friends and myself will be starting the MGMAT course this Saturday. We decided we would get together each night before our class and form our own study session. As of now we are unsure what will be the best way to utilize our time. Any suggestions on what are good methods to approach group study which have worked in the past?

We feel that throwing questions at one another are not an effective use of the time since we can do this on our own. If anyone has done something like this, we are definitely open to suggestions.

Thanks!

True mastery comes from being able to teach others (I know this all to well, as I know the GMAT material far better now than when I took the exam). Try having each person teach a question or two from each topic to the group. What you will find is that you might uncover some simpler ways to work through the problem as you spend a little more time on it. Best of luck!
