I wanted to know ...is OG material enough for RC? I have RC 99 (Aristotle material) ...is that a good source?

I follow your tips. I'm gonna attack accuracy and then timing.

Regarding the FLT's should i start taking the tests from now? Considering my stamina is very low.

Thanks

Hi Lotus Sutra,

OG is definitely not sufficient for RC preparation. It has mostly easier passages. In the main exam you might get passage of similar or slightly higher difficulty level but considering it will be main exam, it will appear much difficult. The best way to counter that is to practice tougher RC passages. I have not used RC99 (I wanted to but could not get hold of it) but I have heard good reviews of it. Again for RC also, first you try to learn strategy, practice few passages using that strategy, improve accuracy and then attack the timing.

Regarding FLTs, you have to first evaluate how many FLTs you have with you. You should not consume all of them in the beginning and then have nothing for later. If you have enough of them then I would definitely recommend taking them at regular intervals right from now. If you dont have enough then you might have to save them for later and spend some time making your own FLTs. You can approach these self-prepared FLTs like you approach ETS paper tests. The idea is to improve stamina. To sit for 4 hours straight and make your brain get used to the 4 hour grind. Finally, don't forget to analyze each test and understand your weak areas without getting bogged down by the score.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Sandeep
