A certain straight ground has four gates, G1, G2, G3 and G4 (in that order) leading off from the same side. How far apart are gates G2 andG3?

1. The distance between doors G2 and G4 is 10 meters.
2. The distance between G1 and G3 is 12 meters.
It takes time and effort to explain, so if my comment helped you please press Thanks button :)

Just because something is hard doesn't mean you shouldn't try,it means you should just try harder.

st1: insufficient
st2: insufficient

both together insufficient as

case 1: G1 G2 = 3; G2 G3 = 9; G3 G4 = 1
case 2: G1 G2 = 10; G2 G3 = 2; G3 G4 = 8
many such cases are possible

answer E

st.1: G2G4 = 10 meters. no other detail ============ insufficient
st/2: G1G3 is 12 meters no other detail ============ insufficient
combined: aftercombining the twoalso we require atleast one more data
G1G4 = G1G3 + G2G4 - G1G3
