Shipping Crates

by N:Dure » Sun Dec 12, 2010 11:22 am
Originally, an order consisting of T units was to be shipped in N crates with x units in each crate. If new shipping regulations require the use of an additional S crates, and the order will be shipped with y units in each crate, which of the following represents the difference between x and y?

1) T/S

2) S/T

3) N+S /T

4) TS/ N(N+S)

5) TS/ N(N-S)

Got it, thanks!

x= T/N

y= T/N+S

x-y = T/N - T/N+S

T(N+S) - TN / N(N+S)

TN+TS-TN/ N(N+S)

TS/N(N+S)
