Best MBA for Marketing

by GF » Wed Jan 25, 2012 8:53 pm
Hello
I'm preparing to apply to an MBA school. I've searched information about the top 15 mba programs (I'ts hard for me to go to the school and look for information there since I live in south america), and I can't clearly state which are the best for Marketing.
All my professional experience is in retail, I started in a department store as a demand planner and two years after I was hired as a product manager (buyer) in a new department store in which I've worked for the last three years (the company is 3.5 years old). I really like my career and I really want to continue in this path so it's important for me to end up in the right mba (not necessary one that is in the top 10 but one that best suits my needs)
I hope you can help me with this, I plan to apply in september 2012. I already took the GMAT and got 700 so I'm now obsessed on preparing the best application I can and I'll will really like to focus on a couple of schools.
Thanks in advance.

In Europe, INSEAD is most famous for luxury goods.

That should start you off!

Thanks a lot, I've read about Kellogg but not about INSEAD. This will help a lot!

Do you have any idea of how good is Stern? I've seen that they have a couple of specializations related to retail.

Thanks again

Hi GF,

Some of the best schools for marketing would be-

1. Kellogg School of Management

2. Wharton School

3. Harvard Business School

All the best

Kellogg is best. Duke and Michigan are great too. Every company that recruits at Kellogg also recruits at Michigan and it has the largest alumni base in the US. If you don't care where you live, than go for "fit" you should do a bunch of research and also visit the schools. You are getting an early start which is good. you're profile sounds solid.
