I think oa is D. In a, more than largest library or largest alexndra, the largest issue is resulting from. resulting from x, y, looks idiotic, i do not know why u ever choose a.

Below is my analysis
A. resulting from the destruction ....., later generations = this is a participial modifier. So we need to find out the noun which is being modified. Noun is definitely not later generation, subject could be "loss", which is not present in the sentence. A does not make any sense.
B. the destroying ... does not sound good, no need to make complex gerund. The destruction is better. Also, AND is introduced, red flag is raised.
C. because of .. result of = redundant
E. passive voice, AND = don't like this choice.
D looks okay to me.
