Hi there,

At a high level, you seem to be in a good spot. You haven't really mentioned much about what you actually did at work which is a big component of your profile. However, if I use your performance and ratings as a proxy, I would assume you have impactful experience with a good mix of leadership, impact, teamwork, etc.

Overall, your school list is looking at the right rank of programs. Low top 10 would be a good stretch with the 10 - 20 range providing a good set of aligned programs. A safety or two would be a good idea too.

You haven't, however, mentioned what you'd like to do after your MBA? That would be useful to know.

If you'd like to chat about this, you can take advantage of our free consultation too by signing up here. Sometimes it's just easier to speak on the phone than type things out in the forums :)

Let me know and we can help you figure out which programs are right for you!

Was your degree a First Class With Distinction, First Class or Second Class? Do you wish to remain in the automotive industry or are you more focused on product development irrespective of industry? If you are focused on the automotive industry, you might wish to add Tepper which is both strong in product development and has ties to the Big 3.

I think you are competitive for the schools you listed.

Good luck,

I agree with Michael. You're competitive for the programs you've listed and I think Tepper's a great program to add too.

One thing to note - be careful when you construct your long term goals. You want them to be ambitious AND realistic. I'm not saying you won't be a C-level executive but can you imagine how many essays get submitted every year with the applicant saying they'd like to be a CXO in a particular industry?

So, just think about how you specialize and stand out while not sounding cookie cutter.
