dear mr beatthegmat,
recently you added RSS feeds for all topics and subtopics...
its indeed a good move, ....convenient for members of this site.

(.........convenient for members of this site to not visit it)

but then comes some loss from your website point of view,,,,,,,

see, if you provide them RSS feed, people no longer will visit your site.
they will read it from their browser.

i dont want to tell you this, its a natural, universal law,:
People dont want to comment, reply or involve in any discussion fora; its inertia; its their natural tendency, just to read and leave.
theres no exception not me not you.

so whats the disadvantage is you loss no. of visitors on daily basis.
& i think you kno better what does that mean;;;;;;,
you loss your website value.

Thanks for the feedback. I actually haven't seen any loss of website traffic since I've added the RSS feeds. In fact, website traffic continues to grow every day.

You may have a valid point that people suffer from inertia when it comes to posting on the forum. But NOT posting is detrimental to the user because he/she is failing to leverage the great expertise (TestPundit, Manhattan GMAT, Stacy Blackman) that exists on this forum! I'm optimistic that more and more people will participate in discussion in the future...

Finally, I wish to reiterate that this website was not created to make a profit (in fact, all profits earned are given back to the community). It is a community service project to connect community members to top GMAT/MBA experts, as well as each other. I want to make this site as convenient for our members as possible--I think that quality RSS feeds is one way to achieve convenience.

Thanks again for the feedback, aim-wsc. Your comments really demonstrate to me how much you care about building this site!

i use windows IE
that i think do not support RSS Feeds.

or do they?

please tell me what people usually do when they dont get RSS feed....

You need to have an RSS reader to subscribe to RSS feeds. I recommend Google Reader: https://reader.google.com

If you use Outlook or Outlook Express, RSS Popper is great: https://rsspopper.blocked/2004/10/home.html
