Trying to beat the GMAT's system...

by ao1058 » Thu Dec 24, 2009 4:08 pm
I will make this short since it's the holidays...

I took the GMAT back in October and scored higher than expected. Since then, I have been admitted to my number one choice (at that time.)

After my first test I decided that I could score even higher and open up more opportunities. I took the test again today and score lower...not sure if it was a fluke or just overconfidence. Please note: I did not request my scores to be sent to any program.

My question is: If I request my scores to be sent to another school first thing Monday (since they will be closed for the holidays) will the school see my score that I earned today, or just my first score? And will they know that I recently took the test and my score is pending?

If I remember correctly, it will take about 5-7 business days for my scores to become official.

I called GMAC today and they said that if the scores are not official, they will not show up on the score report. However, if your scores do come official during the processing of the score report request, the university will see your old score and your new score.
