Hi folks,
I have decided to start preparing for GMAT and plan to give the exam by March ( 3-4 months from now ). I had read frequently that to start, I should attempt one of the two Practice Tests from mba.com Prep software. I attempted and got 540 ( Q44, V20 ) without any prior preparations. Now, I have certain questions in my mind regarding the future of my preparation.
1. Is it possible to score 700+ in the given time?
2. Is Self Study sufficient? Or do I need to take some online courses? ( I have a travelling job ).
3. From the score, it seems that I have to develop a study plan which verbal heavy.
4. Should I consider taking only verbal courses from companies like e-gmat? Because I believe that quant can be improved with brushing up.
5. I am also not sure about the pool of material that I should follow.

I have explored this forum and hope for some help and information from the experts here.

Cheers[/size]

If you check out the I Just Beat the GMAT forum (https://www.beatthegmat.com/i-just-beat- ... t-f15.html),you'll find students who have achieved significant increases in 3 to 4 months. It will require a lot of work though.

Regarding a study plan, you might consider signing up for Beat The GMAT's free 60-Day Study Guide (https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/gmat-guide).

Here's an outline of all 60 emails: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/gmat-guide-outline
