A question for all the experts and consultants out there...

It seems that there is a trend out there for the top eMBA programs to start providing more access to more career service resources for their eMBA students. This is a problem for group A (who are sponsored students that are supposed to be sheltered from recruitment). And an opportunity for group B (who are a very quickly growing group eMBA students that want a straight-up career change).

This flies into the face of any company sponsoring a student.....but it seems that the number of fully sponsored students is dropping. And eMBA programs are on the verge of opening the flood gates (access to on-campus recruiters, events, etc) for their students.

Has anyone else seen the same? Where do you expect this trend to go? And are you aware of any schools that are considering applying the same career service / recruiting rules to FT and eMBA students? (I have heard Columbia, NYU Stern, SMU Cox, and Darden, and others.....may just be rumors).

PS - I also just heard from a top 10 eMBA program admissions director, she said that their applications were up slightly for their fall 2010 call....and they seem optimistic about this year.
