Logic error. Infinitive to creates gives the impression as though products have to come close with the purpose of creating

B)few of these products manage to come close to creating the characteristic analog sound that hand-made effects pedals providing

inappropriate tense issue because of "providing ". That clause lacks a verb

C)few of these products managing to come close to creating the characteristic analog sound that hand-made effects pedals provide
Main clause doesnt have verb . Managing creates a fragment
D)few of these products manage to came close to creating the characteristic analog sound that hand-made effects pedals provide
Correct
E)a hand-made effects pedal provides a characteristic analog sound that few of these products manage to come close to creating
Although fails to create a contrast . The idea of the contrast is spoiled

Hi.. the dependent clause is in present tense (tempts).. So, i think 'came' in option D is not correct.

I am not able to select any.

I misread the word . I was in a hurry . Yea then that makes D wrong .
I will go with E after a reconsidering the SC . But E compares 1 pedal with several pedals

Hi,
I agree that 'came' is incorrect but it is not because 'tempts' is in present tense. Even if it were 'tempted', it would still be 'come' because we would then change 'manage' to 'managed', but 'to come ' will remain the same.
Cheers!
