Hospitality management

Hi Lisa,
I have a question: could a MBA help me finding a job in the hospitality management/tourism/gamin/airlines industry?
If yes, how, given I have no previous experience in those industries?
Do you have any school in particular to suggest me?
Thanks a lot!

Dear Roberto:

The answer is "it depends", mainly on what you want to do for those industires. There are definitely US employers in those industries that hire MBAs, mostly for corporate finance and marketing jobs. I do know MBAs will occasionally obtain more of an operations-type position for hospitality/gaming. The best way for you to figure out which schools place students in these industries is to identify the companies of interest to you and find out where they recruit MBAs. Likewise, you can research what companies have hired students from the MBA programs you identify as potential schools for you.

Good luck!
Lisa
