Stacy,
I was hoping you could help me with a profile evaluation for my target schools of Wharton/Columbia/NYU. My biggest concern is with regards to my very unique undergraduate experience. I started at one school, performed poorly, transferred to a community college where I performed better and transferred to Rutgers where I finally performed to my abilities. The majority of the community college and Rutgers education was completed while working full-time in addition to full-time education.
Undergrad:
Penn State (6 credits) 0.67 GPA
Community College (50 credits) 2.7 GPA
Rutgers (70 credits) 3.7 GPA: Graduated with High Honors- BS in Business, Finance
Graduate:
Babson College (45 credits) 3.87 GPA: Graduated Summa Cum Laude - Master of Science in Management, concentrated in Finance.
GMAT: 740
Professional: 6 years post-undergrad with a leading Telecom company. Spent first 3 years in finance rotational program, presently work in investment management subsidiary. While I do not have any direct reports, I have been promoted twice with increasing responsibilities.
Extra: Passed Level 1 of CFA, sitting for Level 2 in June 2011 (will put Level 3 on hold for MBA)
I have no valuable extra-curricular activities outside of work. I exercise, and play social sports, but do not
volunteer or have any significant contributions to the community.
