Calculus or Intro to Finance?

by changingcourse » Sun Apr 17, 2011 2:35 pm
Hello all,

I have a psychology background and plan on taking one or two courses to strengthen my application (I'm taking accounting now). I'm trying to decide which course to take next. I don't have much of a quant background (took one undergrad and two grad stats courses), and my goal is to work in finance after getting an MBA. Which course would be better for me to take, calculus or intro to finance?

Thanks

I would lean toward calculus. You will take finance courses in business school, but calculus should give you the quantitative chops to handle any classroom math. It will also be more impressive than would an "intro" course.
