10. Those who come to church with a predisposition to religious belief will be happy in an auditorium or even a storefront, and there is no doubt that religion is sometimes better served by adapted spaces of this kind instead of by some of the buildings actually designed for it.
(A) adapted spaces of this kind instead of by some of the buildings actually designed for it
(B) adapted spaces like these rather than some of the buildings actually designed for them
(C) these adapted spaces instead of by some of the buildings actually designed for it
(D) such adapted spaces rather than by some of the buildings actually designed for them
(E)
(E) such adapted spaces than by some of the buildings actually designed for it

IMO E

I am confused between D and E .eventhough my answ was E

Some of the buildings actually designed for them-can any one tell me why them is wrong it can be people (bcoz the sentence starts with those who)
Some of the buildings actaully designed for it(clearly refers to religion)

@subgeeth - I think it is because 'those' is the subject of the previous clause and 'it / them' appears too far to refer to 'those'. The closest noun is 'religion'...

I don't understand why (c) is wrong - these adapted spaces

the sentence also says "instead of by some" which is akward...

also i think such is better when quoting examples...

I chose E for "better .... than .... " costruction
"better served by such adapted spaces than by some of the buildings actually designed for it".

There are other fixes in E too

1. designed for it clearly refers to the religion
2. the costruction such adapted places is idiomatic. It generalizes the two examples, an auditorium or a storefront
