A "they" may refer to stores or sales.
B tense mismatch (closing + accounted)
C seems ok, more concise and direct
D is just downright confusing
E looks horrible

C, the clear winner!

why would i use spoilers for this? This is not the question post. It is my attempt at solving the posed question and I have stated that answer which i believe is correct. In any case, if one were to read my post, it would be obvious that the answer choice, IMO, is C.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

IMO C

A is wrong because the proun "they" may refer to stores or sales.
B is wrong because "which" makes a back reference to "stores".
D account of is not preferred over because which is more precise
E is awkward.

There seems to be a tense disagreement in this question, and the future sense is not correctly carried in C, please look at the explanation for this question in one of the forums.

Agreed Sars.If u feel like resisting my opinion I can't help it man.Just a tip that " use spoilers" I learnt from DanaJ long back .It's just a courtesy of giving other's " thought process" not to get diluted by our IMO's.

Just wanted to quickly comment about the use of spoilers: it's encouraged that all members on this site use spoilers when revealing their OA in the original question, and also their OA in their responses.

The use of spoilers in responses might be a bit weird, but it allows the community to understand your strategy for attacking the question without seeing the actual answer--allowing us to try out your strategy to arrive to our own answer.

On another note, I wanted to remind you all to please do a quick search on our site prior to posting your question. There's a good chance that we've discussed your question in the past!
