The NYU Stern application asks to which schools one has applied. Do you think it hurts a canidate if they have applied to Columbia as well given that NYU is sensitive to being a second choice after Columbia?

I'm sure by this time you've applied already, but in case anyone else is thinking about this question - i'll reply...

i don't think it would hurt you at all... NYU knows it's competition... especially competition that's 100 blocks or so from the village. it would not be anything new to them... i think it would be different if they say that someone applied to HBS, Stanford, Wharton, and NYU... it's kind of a no brainer (in most cases) that they're the last resort.
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.
