Is there a penalty for an old GMAT score? (720)

Hello all - I graduated from top 20 university in May 2015 and took the GMAT in July 2015 (700 - V44, Q42). I then took the GMAT again in June 2016 (720 - V44, Q45). With the 720, I have a score I am confident to apply with, but want to ensure I optimize my application with adequate work experience (i.e. 3-4 years). Will there be any penalty if I apply in Fall 2018 with a GMAT score that is 2 years old? (Plan to enroll Fall 2019)

How complicated the admissions process would be if GMAT scores were like machinery that depreciated over time! A two-year-old score is no less valid than a brand new one.

As long as the score is within 5 years it is fine for most programs. Both of your scores would still be valid for Fall 2019.
