Hi--

A few thoughts:
MBA programs shortlisted : (if possible, please let me know my chances in each of them and if any other program that I have not included but is suitable for a profile like mine)
Canada : Queen's, Rotman, Richard Ivey
You should be competitive at these programs; but, remember, these are first-tier programs. They do not have the big names of the U.S. programs but they are very very good.
US : Kelley (Indiana), Cornell, UCLA, UIUC, USC(Univ of south california)
You should be competitive at these, though Cornell and UCLA may be a bit of a stretch.
Singapore : NUS, Nanyang
India : ISB
I don't know these programs as well so can't really say one way or another.

A few notes:

- You have a strong profile but not a super-strong one. If your GMAT were a bit higher and you had a bit more work experience then I think it would make you more competitive than you are right now.

- I'm a little puzzled by the schools that you are looking at. I can't quite find a common thread which concerns me a little bit. How are you choosing your business schools?
Keep me in the loop about your thinking and let me know if you have any more questions.

Hi Paxton,

Thanks a lot for taking out time and evaluating my profile.
I know its not a super strong profile. I got 690 in 15 days of preparation and am confident of doing much better than that. I will be taking GMAT again some time in November.
However, with this score I will be targeting Kelley (Nov 1 deadline) and Ivey (Nov 2, 2nd deadline).
For rest of the schools I will be sending my improved score and hope to make it a super strong profile this time!

For selecting schools, I am looking for 2 things - their overall reputation and ranking, as well as their success in consulting/strategy.

Please let me know if I can choose any other school that makes more sense.
Waiting for your reply.

Thanks a lot once again for sparing out time.

Regards,
Advit

Hi, Advit-

I'm not really in a position to help non-paying clients choose schools. I suggest that you use some of the filters that I outline in my sticky post about criteria for choosing business schools.
Keep me in the loop about your thinking and let me know if you have any more questions.
