which of the following is greater?
1]the number of minutes in 3.15 hours
2]the number of minutes in 3 hours 15 minutes
please explain the difference coz i am unable to..

3.15 hours .

0.15 of an hour is 15/100 of an hour = 15/100 of 60 minutes = 15/100 * 60 = 900/100 = 9.
