STATS:
- Currently, 26 yo American female, 27 at time of entrance.
- Undergraduate business degree from state school with magna cum laude honors. 3.7 overall, 3.9 major GPA.
- Work Experience with Big 4 Public Accounting for 1.5 years in NYC then recruited directly by client and worked at large entertainment company for 2 years (promotion during this time). Moved south due to personal/family reasons and begun job at large Fortune 500 company. Some informal managerial experience at Big 4 and entertainment co through ad hoc projects and peer/mentor training. Will have 57 months of work experience by start of program in 5/10.
- GMAT: 570 - 620 (I haven't formally taken but this is the range of practice CATs). This is probably my weakest area in the profile.
- Extracurricular - Honor societies and professional societies in undergrad.
Involved in professional society in my current town and church community.
- Recommendations - Probably pretty solid. Good working relationships with all past and current supervisor(s).
I believe most of my stats are in the range of the one-year MBA program @ Emory, but with the option of applying to both the one and two year programs, I'm not sure if I should pay to be considered for both programs to increase my chances.
I am also considering other schools such as Notre Dame (One-year), Wakeforest and Carnegie Mellon as well.
Also, do you know which is more difficult to get into?
