Fact 1: The percentage of Farouk's initial job interviews that result in his being invited for a subsequent interview is decreasing.

Fact 2: Employers are more likely to invite individuals who are first or last in a group of consecutive interviews for a second interview than those whose interviews are somewhere in the middle.

Fact 2 would be most likely to contribute to an explanation of fact 1 if which of the following were also true?

A-The average firm or organization invites less than ten percent of individuals with whom it has conducted initial interviews for a subsequent interview.
B-The average number of individuals granted initial interviews by employers is decreasing.
C-The total number of individuals seeking jobs is decreasing.
D-The number of employers who grant initial interviews is increasing.
E-The average number of individuals granted initial interviews by employers is increasing.

I can't recall seeing a stimulus with the premises broken up and labeled like that, but the logic behind it works.

P1 Farouk's subsequent interview rate is decreasing

P2 People who interview first or last are more likely to get a subsequent interview (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_position_effect)

If Farouk is not getting subsequent interviews, then one possible explanation is that he is typically not going first or last, where he would enjoy the benefit given in P2.

E fits with this. If more people are getting initial interviews, then Farouk's chances of being first or last decrease, which decrease his chance of getting a subsequent interview. For example

5 people interviewed--20% chance of being first, 20% chance of being last

10 people interviewed--10% chance of being first, 10% chance of being last.
