3 Tough Problems on Data Sufficiency

by er.twi.fb » Thu Jul 01, 2010 7:06 am
1. If x and y are non-negative, is (x + y)
greater than xy?
(1) x = y
(2) x + y is greater than x2 + y2

* x2 means x square.

2. Positive Integer P has exactly 2 positive prime factors, 5 and 11. If P has a total of 8 positive factors, including 1 and P, what is the value of P?

(1) 5^3 is a factor of P
(2) 11^2 is not a factor of P

3.25. Is x/5 an integer?

(1)x/12,345 is an integer.
(2)x/336 is an integer.

If anyone can provide me answers for these problems, i would be very thankful.

Thanks.
Scott
