In one of the most stunning reversals in the history of marketing, the Coca-Cola company in July 1985
yielded to thousands of irate consumers demanding that it should bring back the original Coke formula.
(A) demanding that it should
(B) demanding it to
(C) and their demand to
(D) who demanded that it
(E) who demanded it to
OA: later:

well i narrowed it down to D and E,,, but m still confused if E is wrong or not
Hi All,

In one of the most stunning reversals in the history of marketing, the Coca-Cola company in July 1985 yielded to thousands of irate consumers demanding that it should bring back the original Coke formula.

Notice the word "demanding" in the original sentence. Now "demand" is the verb that requires the use of subjunctive verb. The verbs that require the use of subjunctive verbs follow a particular structure: command verb + that + clause (noun + verb).
Use of "that" becomes imperative with the verbs that require the use of subjunctive verbs.

Hope this helps. :)
Thanks.

demanded : subjunctive

demanded + THAT + Subject + Plural verb

D: who demanded that (subject) it (plural verb) bring
