Is x positive?
1) 1/(x+1)<1
2) x-1 is a perfect square
statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient to answer the question asked;
statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient to answer the question asked;
BOTH statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are sufficient to answer the question asked, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient to answer the question asked;
EACH statement ALONE is sufficient to answer the question asked;
statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient to answer the question asked, and additional data specific to the problem are needed.
I knew that 2 is alone sufficient. But...

1 way of solving - 1/(x+1)<1 => 1<(x+1)*1 => 1<x+1 => 1-1<x => x>0 - sufficient
2 way of solving -
if x = 3 => 1/3+1<1 =>1/4<1 - is true
if x=-2 => 1/-2+1 => -1<1 - is true
So insufficient
