Lets say x pounds of tomatoes are purchased.

Total cost = 0.8x
Total expected sales = (1.08)0.8x …. (includes 8% profit)
Tomatoes to be sold = 0.9x … (exluding rotten tomatoes)

Selling price per pound = (1.08)(0.8x)/(0.9x) = $0.96 per pound

Choose B.
